On the other hand, while OBS can record my screen, if my objective is to produce training videos for my team, Camtasia is my first choice.Īre either pieces of software perfect? Of course not, but then again, neither am I. If my goal is streaming, OBS is a natural choice, and something Camtasia doesn’t try to be. Choosing one over the other is a case of shortsighted confirmation bias whereby when you’re a hammer, the whole world is a nail. I believe both Camtasia and OBS have different strengths.
